Will I receive a separate bill from my anesthesiologist?

Like other physician specialists (pediatricians, obstetrician, surgeons, etc.) you will receive a bill from your anesthesiologist.  These are for the professional services provided by your anesthesiologist. Your insurance company will be billed for the service, however, you may be responsible for any deductible or co-insurance payments.

On your hospital or facilities bill, you may notice some anesthesia-related charges. Your anesthesiologist for supplies and equipment uses these during your surgery. These are not for the professional services provided.
